I have always aspired for a career that would give me a role to shape our vibrant and dynamic built environment. It was BCA’s mission statement to shape a safe, high quality, sustainable and friendly built environment for Singapore that struck a chord in me and spurred me to take up the BCA Scholarship to pursue Mechanical Engineering in NUS.

I have been working in BCA for a few years already and I had the privilege of taking on diverse portfolios, ranging from monitoring the economic and financial well-being of the building and construction industry, to advancing the industry capability and productivity as well as promoting the export of construction-related services. By helping to formulate various government policies and measures, I was able to contribute to the benefit of the building and construction industry and society at large. The plentiful exposure and learning opportunities have inevitably helped me develop my capabilities and mature as a more effective public officer. I am glad that I took up BCA’s scholarship.
