The MPA Scholarship Programme (2017 - 2018)
We are from the Maritime and Port Authority of Singapore, or MPA in short. If you would like to embark on greater challenges ahead towards a Future Ready MPA with us, read on!

Our scholarship offers exciting opportunities for you to gain valuable exposure to the thriving maritime industry. You will be part of a dynamic and multi- disciplinary team, which is closely involved in the full spectrum of the agency's roles, from planning, operations to administration. You may also be involved in the planning and design of our future mega-port in Tuas, which will be more intelligent, automated and efficient.As an active member of the International Maritime Council (IMO), MPA officers are also regularly involved in the technical work of the IMO in promoting safe, efficient and sustainable shipping. A career in MPA is not only challenging but rewarding given the diverse nature of the industry and the international exposure.

Eligibility:
GCE ‘A’ Level/IB students with outstanding results and Polytechnic students who graduate with a Diploma with Merit may apply. Undergraduates may also apply. Student with JC preliminary results may apply now. A good track record of co-curricular activities will be an advantage. Applicants should be Singaporeans.

Overseas Scholarship. For studies in prestigious overseas universities, the scholarship covers return economy air passage, tuition fees, compulsory fees, and settling in, book, computer and maintenance allowances.

Local Scholarship. For studies in local universities, the scholarship covers all tuition and compulsory fees as well as computer and maintenance allowances.

Bond Period:
Successful applicants will be required to sign a bond to serve MPA upon completion of their studies for the following periods:
  • Overseas Scholarship: 6 years for English speaking countries
  • Local Scholarship: 4 years
