As an Engineer, HDB offers you opportunities in the planning, engineering design, and project management of building projects
in various areas depending on your specialisation. Oversee the tendering process, liaise with consultants and contractors, and provide technical expertise in cost estimations and preparation of schedules for engineering works.
If you aspire to be a Professional Engineer with the Professional Engineers Board, HDB provides you with opportunities to gain practical experience through further hands-on involvement in project management and site supervision of infrastructure & urban planning projects for Civil & Structural Engineers; and planning & designing of mechanical & electrical services for Mechanical & Electrical Engineers.

Be involved in physical and land use planning of HDB towns & housing estates and the re-planning of existing estates for rejuvenation and renewal. Other duties include conducting planning research / analysis, formulating / refining planning guidelines for facilities provision and conceptualising and drawing up planning strategies and programmes for implementation.

Work with a team of Research Officers from multi-disciplinary backgrounds in the conceptualisation and execution of research projects related to public housing, with emphasis on the community and community bonding.
Provide pertinent sociological input and conduct analysis to enhance the value of research projects with social themes. Responsibilities include compiling and analysing the demographic and socio-economic profile of residents, and monitoring their level of satisfaction with various aspects of public housing, with the view to create a better living environment conducive for building cohesive communities.

As an Estates Officer in the management of housing properties, you will oversee and ensure the smooth running of both
frontline and backend operations, and the delivery of quality customer service to the applicants and residents of HDB flats. From conducting credit assessment and financial counseling to processing the sale and resale transactions of new, existing and rental flats, be the first touch-point between HDB and its customers.
Look forward to interacting with flat applicants and residents of different profiles and backgrounds, and play an advisory role in areas such as housing policies, lease & tenancy administration, mortgage financing issues, and the maintenance of sold flats. You may also be involved in the management of industrial and commercial properties.

As an Estates Officer dealing with policy work in HDB, you will be involved in the formulation of new policies and review ofexisting policies which impact over 80% of Singaporeans staying in public housing. Analyse pertinent data for policy development and review, and critically examine the various housing schemes and policies catering to the needs of young couples, growing families, as well as the active elderly.
From policy consultancy to review, you can look forwardto working with different stakeholders such as Ministries and other Statutory Boards, grassroot leaders and residents to understand their concerns and obtain their buy-in to
your recommendations.

Play a part in research and special topical projects on real estate issues, as well as monitor and analyse the Singapore residential market through environment scan.

Formulation of financial policies and procedures, financial accounting, cost and management accounting, budget, treasury functions, payments, systems development and other related duties.

Be involved in a spectrum of work areas spanning project management, system development and maintenance, data / systems management, quality management, network and communications, desktop services, Data Centre operations and IT security.

Media relations, publications, as well as communication programmes for new and major HDB policies and projects; or organising and coordinating VIP visits as well as delegations to overseas; and monitoring and analysing public feedback.

Corporate planning process and providing support for Board and corporate matters, such as monitoring key performance indicators and providing analysis of key trends; planning and managing corporate events and projects and delivering content reports on various subjects related to HDB.

One or more of the following areas in human resource management, such as leadership & career development, recruitment, training, welfare benefit schemes administration and / or other related HR areas.

Providing in-house legal advice, drafting and reviewing terms and conditions of agreements and other legal documents on corporate and construction related matters, act for the Board in litigation and prosecution cases relating to residential, commercial and industrial properties, advise on legislation within the Board's purview as well as work with multi-disciplinary teams in a wide range of interesting and challenging projects.
